About Aomori Airport
Aomori-Prefecture is located northernmost area of Honshu, the main island of Japan. The area is home to beautiful nature and diverse culture including the world heritage site "Shirakami-sanchi", "Hirosaki Park" with beautiful cherry blossom in spring, "Lake Towada" and "Oirase Gorge" which belong to the National Park, and one of Japan's largest remains in the Jomon period "Sannai Maruyama Ruins". The well-known annual festivals such as "Aomori Nebuta Festival", "Hirosaki Neputa Festival" and "Goshogawara Tachi-Neputa Festival" are held in August, drawing total 6 million people from both Japan and abroad.
